I can not, i can not believe that Comfort os still in . I think that Kherington is a much better dance But when I came to the DANCE FOR YOUR LIFE she kinda gave up and Comfort danced her but off. I think this is the first year that they still have (3) Hip Hop dancers this late in the game,
Ugh

I guess I better start setting my VCR b/c I unexpectedly missed the performance show and didn't get home in time to vote or see the results show. But I'm still a contender! I would have never guessed Kherrington would go.
Results show...

are you kidding me!!!??? i got 'em both right!? WAAAHOOOOO!!!!!
so, if you care, i made notes while i was watching the results...here goes (in txt mode/shorthand...sorry):
i missed the first dance (bollywood, right?) cuz my dvr crapped out...ugh. but i saw the ave maria one & i have one question: what the hell is wrong w/mia michaels!? the whole thing was so weird, but so good, all at the same time. somehow, whatever she choreos makes anybody who does it look really good. how did i used to hate contemporary dancing?
um, "five guys named, 'moe'''? are you freakin' kidding me!? I LOVED EVERY BIT OF IT!!!!! i can't wait to find out who the 'mystery choreog.' is...WHAT!? NIGEL WAS THE CHOREOGRAPHER!? who knew???
why are they all doing comfort's stupid arm movement?
solos:
comfort - better than usual, but still no good. i HATE her stupid 'signature' arm movement. and the kcalb judge needs to stop trying to coin phrases. he sounds like he's trying too hard.
mark - really good. i hope he stays (partly b/c i voted for gev!)
kherrington - hmmmm...just o.k. at one 'point', it looked like she was en 'pointe' (bu-dump-bum). other than that, it was kinda boring. maybe she figured, 'why bother?' since it won't change anything... and dear god, please stop w/the comfort arm already!
uh oh, did cat give something away w/her kherrington comment? (even nigel noticed)
gev - sooooo good! but, my fingers are crossed anyway that he's gone. i'm mean.
btw, thanks, jason, for pointing out cat's mole. i see nothing else now.
RESULTS:
i'm happy & sad that kherrington is gone -- she was one of my favorites
and i'm happy that gev is gone b/c that means i take the lead, right????!!!!!!
how ya doin', suckas!?

Wednesday's Performance Show

Jason: this is especially for you since you txt'd that you missed the show. Hmmmm....I wonder if I reported correctly or instead, if tried to sabotage your vote -- guess we'll never know. [insert evil laugh here]
------------
For the most part, me & the judges did not agree -- here's what I thought (BTW, I write all my comments after each dance but BEFORE the judges talk, just so you know...):
First of all, Jessica had to quit/rest b/c she broke two ribs, so Comfort's there instead (ugh). Problem is, I don't get how they'll score the voting? Guess I need to re-watch the beginning. (Wait a second: Jessica stayed for the whole show in the audience? Um....thought she had broken ribs? How is she not in bed somewhere, wrything in pain?)
Whatever....to the dancing:
Katie Holmes & Joshua:
HIP HOP - Frankenstein! I really liked it! I thought the judges were harder on Katie Holmes than she deserved.
RUMBA - Really good. I like her more w/him than I ever did before. They were both really good.
Kherrington & Mark:
TWO STEP - It looked amateurish. Maybe b/c it was the 2 step; it looked like two people at a country bar instead of trained dancers (well, except for the lifts). Side note: I want my hair like Kherrington's is in this routine.
JAZZ - Just O.K. I really like both of these dancers, but I didn't love either of their routines tonight (in other words, not sure it was totally their fault).
Comfort & Twitch:
SMOOTH WALTZ - AWESOME!!!!! I love Twitch -- and I swear I didn't love Comfort, too! Guess it took her getting booted for me to finally like her. (What? the judges didn't like it? I guess I don't get the waltz. Oh, Cat's comment after Nigel said the lift was all-Dirty-Dancing-ish: 'Nobody puts Comfort in a corner'! Hilarious.)
HIP HOP - LOVED IT! The best description I can give is: it didn't seem like they were in a dance competition...seemed like they were just there to perform/have fun. Plus, they have mad chemistry! (Who knew? Especially, since I so don't like Comfort by herself). Oh God, she's doing the stupid arm movement again. WAIT!!!!! NIGEL IS SAYING EXACTLY WHAT I SAID ABOUT THEIR PERFORMANCE!!!!!!! I should be a judge on this show.
Katee & Will:
BROADWAY - LOVED IT!!!! I kinda thought Joshua was carrying Katee before, but she was sooooo good! So was Will! He didn't really stand out to me when I saw that she picked him...as in, I couldn't remember who he was w/before.
PAS DE DEUX - First of all, the choreographers said it's not going to be a traditional ballet...um, then it's basically contemporary -- just call it what it is already. Anyway...wait....WTF!? They're dancing to DAVID ARCHULETA'S IMAGINE!!!???? Yay! O.K., re-focus: I wanted to like it more than I actually did. I liked the beginning & the ending more than the middle, but it was all just O.K. to me. Won't matter, though -- these guys are both way too good to go home.
Chelsie & Gev:
CONTEMPORARY - Good. I just didn't love it. There's been better contemporary.
JIVE - Um...Gev looked like he was trying way too hard -- and not succeeding very much. I think he might be in trouble tonight. Chelsie was good, though.
Now, for the solos:
Chelsie - Just O.K.; seems boring when a ballroomer has to do a solo. It's all just that one step where they put one foot in front of the other and shake their hips w/each step while shimmying their shoulders. (I had to keep re-enacting it while trying to describe it! hahaha)
Gev - Really good (except for the missed jump in the beginning! I was afraid he would trip or lose his balance!). Plus, I always forget that his style is hip hop. He seems like a contemporary dancer to me.
Katie Holmes - Really good -- parts looked like it was taped & running in reverse...like she was going against gravity & wind direction or something. Plus, I wonder if the solos are taped before or after the other dances b/c how could she have recovered so quickly from hair & makeup of Frankenstein?
Mark - Just O.K. to me...kinda quirky. And I usually like him.
Comfort - Junk. She dances her solos like she's in a club. Not good enough for a dance competition (guess that's why she got booted).
Twitch - LOVED IT! I like how he hears/hits on every single beat in the music.
Katee - LOVED IT! She's so good. Like I said before...she reminds me of Sabra from last year...which worries me b/c I didn't pick her to win. Uh oh.
Will - Wow. Really good! How did he not stand out to me before?
Kherrington - Just O.K. -- I usually really like her but I think she had a bad night.
Joshua - Wow. Really good! Who knew he was hip hop? He & Gev surprise me every time.
So, my bottom four are: Gev & Mark and Kherrington & Comfort. But, my picks to go home are: Gev & Kherrington...what do you think?
P.S.: I rewatched the beginning -- Comfort's actually participating again -- I thought she was just filling in or something. Ugh! She should be thankful for second chances b/c tonight was the first time I ever liked her.
